On North Sand Lake

A rare evolving lot on North Sand Lake. A future project for Timber Properties or a new owner that will  serve as a place to live ones best lake life.

About our approach.

Timber Properties brings together a small collection of distinct places shaped by land, season, and pace. Our focus is on a limited number of cabins, campsites, and shared spaces, designed to feel settled and familiar. We work with what’s already there, favoring simple improvements and the kind of character that comes from time, use, and place. We blend old with the new valuing going back in time.

Who we serve. This approach resonates with people who value land and water over buildings, who appreciate rustic details and understand that meaningful places aren’t created all at once. These properties are unfolding over time through care, return visits, and shared experience, where community forms naturally and less, done well, offers more.

Explore the properties below to see how each place is taking shape, and follow along as this portfolio continues to evolve.

Familiar dock. Familiar faces.

These cabins come from a different era. Old lake resorts like this are increasingly rare, and our goal is to thoughtfully restore them and bring new life over time—without losing what made them special in the first place.

They offer classic lake access at a fraction of the cost of modern builds and naturally attract people who value simplicity, shared evenings around the fire, and unhurried time on the water.

We take care of the work so you don’t have to. These are rustic cabins—show up, play, relax, and let the days unfold the way they used to.

Preserve the Land. Live the Story.

Our campground reflects a deliberate shift away from over-density toward a more thoughtful, land-first approach. It’s shaped by respect for the landscape and designed to feel calm, open, and intentional.

This is camping for people who want to slow down—who enjoy trails, quiet recreation, and evenings around the campfire rather than packed schedules or crowded sites.

Here, the focus is on space, rhythm, and care for the land. Camping as it was meant to be: simple, unhurried, and grounded in nature.

Rooted in place. Shaped together.

Community at Jacobs Land Co. exists first in the everyday moments—neighbors sharing space, respecting the land, and looking out for one another, whether they’re here for a season or for years.

We balance new features with hands-on subtle improvements shaped with input to broader efforts that benefit from shared involvement, we believe places are best cared for together.

Across all properties this approach supports both short-term stays and long-term living—creating settings where belonging is valued.
